The purchase of real estate requires an agreement between the buyer and the seller, prepared by attorney/lawyer in three copies and in two languages: Georgian and another language chosen by the non-resident buyer.
To register real estate (or to formalize the purchase agreement) in Georgia, only a passport is required.
The buyer’s presence is not mandatory for signing the agreement. This can be done by a representative with a notarized power of attorney.
When purchasing real estate in Georgia, only a state fee is paid at the Public Service Hall during the registration of the purchase agreement.
